Description: This session is intended to build early childhood educator data-use with a publicly available tool developed by the Colorado Department of Education and the Regional Educational Laboratory Central. Participants will engage with a data use checklist and accompanying resource guide to improve their capacity to use data to inform instructional improvement as well as overall program data use. Participants will conduct their own self-assessments and then explore the tool, which includes videos to build their capacity to use data in the early childhood setting. Participants will then discuss the need for data use in their own settings and consider how the tool can support professional growth as well as educational equity for our youngest learners.
